YENTALA’S EGGS

Small iron skillet
1 ½ tablespoons of butter
heated over high open flame
until butter browns

Add 2 large eggs

Cook sunny-side-up
until edges are crisp
and yokes still soft

Serve hot with
well-buttered toast

Not a cloud
in the sky
or a thought
in my head
as two yellow
suns rise up
sizzling
in an iron skillet
passed down  
by grandma
Yentala
who taught me
the only way
to live life
is on a high
